Garden and our Surroundings
In the garden, the soul finds peace. On the old manure pad, we have created a garden where the sun shines from early morning to late afternoon. Sit under the platan tree or enjoy the sun on the bench by the wall.
Our pergola with a glass roof offers coolness on hot summer days and in the evening you can grill and enjoy your meal under the heaters and if still freeze you can always put our warm wool blankets round your shoulders. Cold autumn days you can sit in the greenhouse while the flames from the iron stove warms you up.
If you want to go for a little walk in the nearest surrounding you can walk across pastures enclosed by stone fences, picking white anemones in a beech forest or blackberries that are plentiful most pastures. In the spring, the cranes often stop by for a few days and if you look carefully you may see a green tree frog on our small wetland. Early mornings and dusk, you may see deer, fallow deer and red deer and perhaps a hare or fox.
